ERMUDA,this lawn requires full sun. An aggressive species and tolerates large amounts of traffic with ease. Being an indigenous grass is often an accepted species for development in indigenous developments. Bermuda is often used on golf courses, public parks, sports fields and domestic applications. This lawn is probably the only species that will offer a full cover lawn during water restrictions. Bermuda has a very deep root structure and is used throughout Africa for its ability to combat soil erosion. Maintenance is also low and it is one of the few species that can be mowed short. Bermuda lawns are a deep green and have a very fine texture. If Bermuda is well looked after it is probably one of the best choices of lawn for any South African home. Being an aggressive lawn it does tend to invade your flower beds and this needs to be watched and maintained.
