This lawn is probably the only species that will offer a full cover lawn during water restrictions. Bermuda has a very deep root structure and is used throughout Africa for its ability to combat soil erosion. Maintenance is also low and it is one of the few species that can be mowed short. Bermuda lawns are a deep green and have a very fine texture.

If Bermuda is well looked after it is probably one of the best choices of lawn for any South African home. Being an aggressive lawn it does tend to invade your flower beds and this needs to be watched and maintained. Plant Rollonlawn in Spring, Summer and early Autumn, this lawn is dormant in winter and loses its bright green colour. A great long term solution for many applications.

Used extensively in commercial and government developments. Be very careful when ordering stock of this lawn. Agriculturally hard to farm, and requires a lot of compost to cultivate good quality Rollonlawn sods.
